Guidelines for Abstracts and Papers Submission
We welcome papers on any topic about Pediatric Surgery, either clinical or experimental. You may send communications on patients’ series, new diagnostic or therapeutic techniques, and Research.
Case report
Abstracts must be submitted using the official electronic abstract submission system on the congress’ web site www.atcp-tunisie.com in the section specified for such purpose.
Abstracts must be received before December 20, 2009
After abstract submission, the author will receive an automatic notification, informing the correct reception of the submitted material.
Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstract will be emailed by the beginning of January 2010
If the abstract is accepted, authors will have a maximum of 21 days to register for the congress on the web site www.atcp-tunisie.com in the section specified for such purpose.
Abstracts whose author is not register to the congress will not be considered after the 21 days.
Types of Presentation: When sending their abstracts, authors may choose between one of the following modes of presentations:
A) Oral Presentation (5 minutes)
B) Oral Presentation (3 minutes)
C) Poster for Exhibition
D) Video Presentation
Abstracts
Abstracts must be sent in English before 20 December, 2009, using the papers submits system, which you will find on the congress web site www.atcp-tunisie.com
The author must specify on the web site all the information required (First author and additional author´s personal information, category and type of presentation, etc)
Authors whose abstract are accepted for presentation will be expected to attend the meeting and make their presentation.
- Length: Abstracts must be limited to 300 words and must be concise and clear, highlighting the most relevant aspects, findings and conclusions.
- Structure: Abstract should be structured under the following headings:
-Introduction: Background/Purpose
-Material and Methods
-Results
- Discussion and Conclusions
Poster for Exhibition
- All posters will be placed on a panel with a working area of 1.10 mts. high and 0.90 mts. wide, vertical format.
- The abstract of the poster must be sent in english before December 20 , 2009 using the papers submit system on the web site of the congresswww.atcp-tunisie.com
- The author-presenter must assist the congress venue and install the poster in the place arranged for such purpose. Poster for Exhibition must be exhibited during the congress. Adhesive and hanging elements will be provided.
Poster Characteristics
- It must be clear, explicit and respect the content of the submitted abstract.
- The title, name of authors and institution where it was done must appear at the top.
- The size of the letters must allow someone standing 2 mts away to read them clearly.
- The language used in the text of the poster is ,the English
- The Poster must be designed using as least text as possible giving priority to images or diagrams.
- The author-presenter will install the Poster correctly in the place as scheduled and uninstall it upon request.
- Poster will remain exhibited in the designated place during the time indicated by the Scientific Committee according to the Congress Programme.
Video Presentation
- The presentation of a video will be considered as an oral presentation.
- Abstracts must be sent in English before 20 December, 2009, using the papers submit system, which you will find on the congress web site, www.atcp-tunisie.com as a Video Presentation.
- The video must be recorded on a CD in any of the following video formats: MPEG 1, AVI, Real Video, (to be viewed with Real Player ® by Real Networks ®), or Windows Media (to be viewed with Windows Media Player ® by Microsoft ®).
- The author will have the original CD to be used during the oral presentation, which must not exceed a total of 7 minutes followed by 3 minutes for discussion.
